Introduction

Ruzanna Chitchyan works on fostering sustainability through the re-design of socio-technical systems, supported by software solutions. With research interests in HCI, Requirements Engineering, and Software Engineering, and a background in Computer Science and Economics, her research is often interdisciplinary, addressing systemic challenges such as UK-wide transition to clean energy sources, adoption of home automation solutions by users, circular economy, and addressing of human skills gaps through innovative training and automation. Dr Chitchyan is currently an Associate Professor and the Research Director at the School of Computer Science, University of Bristol, and a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Malaga. She also serves as a co-director of the Bristol Energy Network, a community benefit organization. Research information
