Introduction

Richard is an EPSRC doctoral researcher within the BIG lab. His research explores the relationship between HCI and Ecological Psychology. More specifically, Richard examines empirical methods for multimodal perception - underpinned with online and embedded technology. His key interests span affordances, embodied cognition and digital prototyping. In his other life, Richard works as a freelance technology consultant leading on creative and technically demanding projects. He has previously worked within world-leading creative organisations including the University of Bristol, Watershed & Pervasive Media Studio, BBC R&D and the Media Technology Lab @ University of Sussex.
