My work is associated with BIG::Immerse.
Jingyi Li is a Senior Research Associate in Immersive Tools and Technologies at the University of Bristol. She completed her PhD in Human–Computer Interaction at the University of Cambridge, where she was part of the Intelligent Interactive Systems group. Her research investigates how embodied cognition can inform the design of cognitively aligned mixed reality systems and generative AI tools, making them more intuitive, learnable, and interpretable.
In her current role with the Immersive Arts programme, she focuses on practitioner-led AI, exploring how creative practitioners can shape and direct generative AI tools and systems so that they support, rather than override, practitioners’ creative agency, authorship, and decision-making.
